JILL SCOTT DAY!: jill scott feat eve & the A group - shame / jill scott feat anthony hamilton - so in love / lovely day (bill withers cover)

[the always amazing jill scott is returning with a barrage of amazing songs for her fans. the first two tracks are taken off her upcoming album 'the light of the sun' which also celebrates her new deal with warner bros records. the last track is a cover taken from classic sessions with her old label, hidden beach records, who are also releasing a compilation of her early works. all this means is A LOT of jill scott repertoire for us to enjoy, so sit back and just take it all in! yaaay!]

ANOUK DAY!: anouk - three days in a row / woman / lost (live @ pinkpop) / today

for those who aren't familiar with this dutch singer / songwriter, anouk is one of the hidden treasures of the dutch music scene. with a soulful rock voice, she is easily one of the best voices to come out of the netherlands in ages. hopefully with her latest album 'for bitter for worse' she'll also get extensive love outside of her region. check out some current highlights from her album below!

anouk - three days in a row
[damn that voice! she just rips through this song! amazing!!! and this is dating me a bit, but doesn't this remind you of the intensity of sam brown's 'stop'?]

anouk - woman
[anouk's 2nd single from for bitter for worse. it's already the #1 song of the airplay charts back in the netherlands]

anouk - lost
[the song that introduced me to this brilliant singer thanks to the show 'so you think you can dance']

anouk - today
[though never an official release from her current album, this track still managed to get into the top 50 based on radio play]

V V BROWN DAY: vv brown - game over / leave / crying blood

vv brown - game over

vv brown - leave

vv brown - crying blood
[will someone give her a big break already? the fact that vv isn't a big star yet is just weird to me.]
