now we're onto something! the collaboration between justin & chris stapleton was always going to be a possible highlight of the 'man of the woods' and it's proven true! performed in one take (la blogotheque's arturo perez jr goes big yo!) the song kicks in once chris stapleton adds his amazing vocals into the round culminating with a full soulful choir by the end. THIS should have been the leading single JT!!!

putting her own GORGEOUS spin on one of my fave songs of 2006 by scott matthews, lianne also seems to come into her own as an artist, looking TOTALLY at ease and theatrical in her video performance (part 1 of a 2 part storyline both directed by la blogotheque creator colin solal cardo!). the crossover to the US is slowly happening for her and i am SO very pleased about it!

[as you know, i've been quite the fan of bon iver these past few months. the surprising thing is that i discovered his music as a live artist (via live performances on tv and youtube) as opposed to my usual route of hearing the music via myspace/articles/downloads. it's rare to love an artist live and then go back to listen to the studio versions of songs afterwards. anyway, the blogotheque folks continue to perpetuate my live love of justin vernon and his pals as they perform two sessions (a total of 6 performances!) for the website. awesome!]

[once again the amazing la blogotheque take away concert series gets an artist to perform live at a spontaneous setting. this time, singer/songwriter adam arcuragi gets coerced in performing in and around the flea markets of chelsea (home turf yo!) and as you can see, the results are truly beautiful. adam's rich rootsy voice and sweet harmonies match perfectly whether in a car or in an open space (see below). i'm a new fan (thank you la blogotheque!) if you like what you hear, be sure to check out adam's upcoming ep soldiers for feet mid may.]

AWESOME blog: la blogotheque - les concerts a emporter (feat yeasayer, vampire weekend, beirut, jens lenkman)

what an amazing website! yes, it's totally in french (but the language barrier has never stopped me from loving anything), but what's causing a ripple in the world of music is their awesome take away concerts series. shot in random areas, director vincent moon gets the artists to perform in a spontaneous fashion, making the environment affect the song equally. the results are live performances that have a real energy that is now associated with "le blogotheque".
