WONGIE INDIE SONG OF THE WEEK: the dodos - good
the dodos - good
[the amazing thing about this duo is that even though it seems that their music is random and chaotic, it's actually extremely whimsical and melodious. there is definitely a method to their madness and i love it!]

INDIE WEDNESDAYS: the dodos - black night
the dodos - black night
[one of my fave bands of the past few years return with a new album 'no color' and a placement in the billboard top 100 albums chart! one of the highlights of sxsw 2011, the band are currently touring the US and will step across the pond soon afterwards. definitely a great live act to check out if they come to your city!]

WONGIE SONG OF THE WEEK: the dodos - fables
the dodos - fables
[i'm totally going to date myself here, but there is something remotely trashcan sinatras about this song. i've been a big fan of this band since 2007 and am so happy that they've polished their sweet sound for their latest album 'time to die'. really wonderful stuff here]

song of the week: the dodos - fools
the dodos - fools [link 2]
the dodos - jodi [link 2]
[when a acoustic folk guitarist merges with a drummer learned in west african beats, you end up getting the band the dodos. with a sound that almost seems like they're trying to match up their supposed divergent backgrounds, the band manage to find a wonderful melodious, yet erratic, center for each tune they write. who knew san francisco could produce something so normally right coast? can't wait to hear the rest of their album 'visitor' next month!]
