[nothing like a happy indie pop song from our friends up north in canada to start off your monday! taken from their current album 'shapeshifting', the trio of young galaxy actually recorded the album in sweden which they claimed changed their sound drastically. i liked them way back in 2008 and they put me in a great mood then, so i'm not complaining of this alleged 'change'!]

[my favorite track off the self titled debut album by the montreal pop duo (even though their sound makes them seem like a massive band). reminding me of the brit stuff that i used to listen to in the early 90's, i'm glad that last years highly overlooked album is finally getting some newfound milage. great video too!]

my favorite canadian label arts and crafts recently signed the west coast formed, montreal based duo young galaxy (aka Stephen Ramsay and Catherine McCandless). gaining buzz by touring with the dears last fall, the duo is putting the finishing touches of their dreamy psychedelic pop debut due for release in spring. until then, check out two awesome songs from their showcase performance a few months back.
