contrary to popular belief, there is no jenny, nor jan involved with the brooklyn electro pop duo project jenny, project jan. however, the band does include vocalist jeremy haines, instrumentalist sammy rubin and a bit of wacky pop sensibility thrown in. formed in college, the duo cemented their collaboration when sammy became highly amused with jeremy's freestyling skills one (i'm assuming, drunken) evening. by late 2005, project jenny, project jan released their first self-titled EP and managed to get some buzz on the brooklyn music scene.
after working on their debut album for almost a year, it looks like the duo is ready to break through into a wider net of appreciation. check out their catchy first single from their august release xoxoxoxoxo
