arlissa - sticks and stones
even though 19 year old arlissa made her initial dent by collaborating with nas, her own sound is a mix of indie wail (a la florence) mashed up with a bit of earth mother (a la shakira) and pop. hard to pinpoint, but totally fascinating to listen. can't wait to see what else this young lass has up her sleeve this year!
