INDIE MIX: the neighbourhood - sweater weather

the neighbourhood - sweater weather
it's kind of amazing how saturated music can be in this day and age. if your music doesn't show up on the blogs/playlists/personal radars of your friends, you just don't hear a song (even if it's been #1 on the alternative charts and racking 21 million hits on youtube). so here is an example of how a song has FINALLY hit my radar and it's actually quite good. these boys are LA based and have been around since 2011... actually you probably already know that! well, better late than never.

SONGS WE LIKE: beck - blue moon / waking light

beck is back! and he's put together a lush album of 'california' inspired mellow jams that is just perfect to lose yourself to. the album 'morning phase' only took 3 days to put together, but at least 2 years to perfect. listen to the perfection from the examples below!:

SONG OF SUMMER 2013: cayucas - high school lover

cayucas - high school lover

these cali boys bring some of their summer sunshine in this perfect beach anthem that was released a few months back. i seem to be discovering a lot of music when i shuffle my summer car mix (which i keep on adding new gems on a daily basis), almost like future me knows my present me so well!
