rogue wave

check out a live performance here:

i discovered this band while surfing the blog myexbestfriend and went on to check out their latest album 'descended like vultures'. in the process i found their sweet folky melodies and beautiful soft indie sounds both hypnotic and perfect for the post snowstorm weather of the east coast.

based in california, rogue wave formed after lead singer Zach Schwartz got laid off from a tech job in 2002. with a few buddies, he decided to pursue his hobby as a full time gig and came up with the incarnation that is building a nice fanbase around lovers of music.

i'm late on getting in on the buzz, but hey, better late than never!

check out the song that's been on my repeat for the past few days.
rogue wave - california

if you like them, definitely go out and get their latest album 'descended like vultures' now!

Gnarls Barkley

definitely the best song of the moment!

a collaboration between hip hop goodie mob creator cee-lo and the amazing dj danger mouse, gnarls barkley is an experiment in music without borders.

covering rock, hip hop, soul and indie, the first single 'crazy' has been my fave song for a few weeks and i still can't stop listening to it. though the album has yet to be scheduled, remember the name and brag about how you knew them ages ago when they become big.

check out the song crazy here (thanks to t-sides)
