i'm in heaven: tracey thorn

tracey thorn - it's all true (album version)
[xolondon has been tipping the return of tracey thorn for a good month now. though it's been a bit frustrating listening to the 1st single off of tracey's myspace site, i finally got ahold of the maxi single just to blast the awesome full album version of the ewan pearson, darshan and sasse track. hopefully the rest of the album will be this dance fever-ish!]

The album is a surprise. It's more like an EBTG record (akin to Amplified Heart, but a little more dancey). There are not a lot of uptempos on it. Raise The Roof is good dancepop, as are several others.

Having said that, it's some of the finest music she's ever done. Some of the ballads are EPIC. I would say it's far more diverse than the final EBTG record was. Vocally she takes more risks than ever before and both the music and lyrics are very emotional in a restrained Tracey way!

This a cruel tease I know. I cannot share it - I made a promise I can't break. I suspect it will leak soon anyway.

Get Around To It is already out there and that is a dance track, if a chilled one.
