THE AIRBORNE TOXIC EVENT DAY!: the airborne toxic event - all i ever wanted (bombastic video) / changing / all for a woman (bombastic video) / all at once (bombastic video) / it doesn't mean a thing (bombastic video)
[LA based quintet the airborne toxic event have been indie favorites for quite some time, but it's been their silly name that always throws me off when given the opportunity to listen to them. thank goodness they have embarked on a one shot 'bombastic' series in which the band offer up a weekly performance of a track off their upcoming album 'all at once'. i was suddenly bombarded with content and after one click i was hooked! with their travelling band mixed with a sprinkling of rock, these pared back numbers also allow for you to listen to the strong lyrics by mikel jollett. i'm in, but damn their stupid don delillo inspired band name!]
