WONGIE DISCOVERY: grimes - oblivion / vanessa / genesis

nothing like checking out an internet buzz act and then discovering that the hype is actually worth the praise. based in montreal, claire boucher (aka grimes) is a part artist/ part pop star. fusing random influences as diverse as aphex twin meets enya, the end result is a lo-fi yet densely musical experience. throw in the fact she is pretty darn cute and you've got yourself the ingredients for hipster (and also the rest of us) love. i dig her and so should you!
