WONGIE SONG OF THE WEEK: steps - scared of the dark

steps - scared of the dark
when it comes to steps, there is nothing but pure unadulterated love that i have for these five wonderfully cheesy performers! the song (written by carl ryden & fiona bevan) deserves an award in it's perfect crafting of an ABBA-esque modern pop sound (there's even a key change!!). then the dancing! oh the dance number than even your grandma can do! i love how the boys still have no reason to be there but be backup dancers and well... it's the perfect experience that only steps can do! 20 years in the making and it's just awesome!

WONGIE DANCE SONG OF THE WEEK: kungs vs cookin' on 3 burners feat kylie auldist - this girl

kungs vs cookin' on 3 burners feat kylie auldist - this girl
reworking the retro soulness of cookin' on 3 burners' original track, 19 year old kungs has crafted an instant summer jam that captures every single wedding/conga line/beach anthem/birthday/dad dancing essence in one go. it's completely cheesy and perfect and easily a frontrunner for song of summer 2016!

VIDEO PREMIERE: cher - woman's world

cher - woman's world
i love how this woman is in on the campy fabulousness of all that is 'cher'. practically a muppet, those wigs are reason enough to put a smile on your face. happy tuesday ladies!

WONGIE IBIZA SONG OF THE WEEK: ray foxx feat rachel k collier - boom boom (heartbeat)

ray foxx feat rachel k collier - boom boom (heartbeat)
ah... a last blast of ibiza sunset anthems that's sure to get your inner cheese out for one last boogie. try NOT to sway with a glass of champers while listening to this!

WONGIE GUILTY PLEASURE SONG OF THE WEEK: pitbull feat christina aguilera - feel this moment

pitbull feat christina aguilera - feel this moment
considering i last heard this driving around in miami (and secretly loved the usage of the cheesy a-ha hook), this is easily the best guilty pleasure you'll hear all weekend. just make sure your cool friends don't catch you bopping around to this in public... now just feel the cheese yo!

WONGIE GUILTY PLEASURE OF THE WEEK: antonia - marabou

antonia - marabou
originally written for vanessa paradis, this future cheese anthem lovingly rhymes marabou with into you and deja vu (of course... duh!) while antonia rubs her body with the future euros she'll be collecting from this weirdly bad awesome song. can you tell it's a slow day?

KPOP WEDNESDAYS: dalshabet - there is there isn't

dalshabet - there is, there isn't
is it just me or does this totally sound like the kind of brilliant cheese that you hear from the beachfronts of europe? i kind of love this horrible song (it's even got it's own dance!!!)! guilty pleasure yo!
