[not to deny the fact that lcd soundsystem released one of the best songs of the year, but the truth of the matter is that the franz ferdinand cover is just... better. since this version was commissioned by the lcd folks themselves, i don't feel so guilty about my choice.]

[it's pretty amazing when a cover version not only gets released as a b-side to the original single, but then gets so popular that it ends up being played more in the process. such is the case when franz ferdinand did a brilliant cover of lcd soundsystem's "all my friends". i've been listening to both versions nonstop and at this point, i don't really care which version of this awesome song i listen to! thanks to ifmv for the video tip]
