covering this irish folk classic for the upcoming AMAZING soundtrack of the coen brothers film 'inside llewyn davis', oscar isaac (who plays the titular role of the down on his luck folk singer llewyn davis) duets with marcus mumford (who also helped with the t bone burnett soundtrack) to wonderful results. easily my fave soundtrack of the year, i can't wait to pass on other gems when they come to light. brilliant stuff here.

who'd have thought that a civil wars cover at the tail end of a new tv show about nashville would spark a top 10 itunes hit? probably the best thing from the uneven pilot (which you get to see some footage of in the video), this tune just lingers and haunts you for days on end. it's glorious!
