FOLK FRIDAYS: dry the river - new ceremony / bible belt (live @ watchlistentell)

buzzed for the past few months as another folk act that'll break into the mainstream in 2011, dry the river is made of norwegian peter liddle (he with the vibrato voice), punk rock drummer jon warren (he was once homeless!) and a tag of other members who create harmonies, string arrangements and all around band to watch skills. the impression is not immediate as mumford and sons were, but there is something interesting to want to hear more in the coming months.

[oh my gosh, these oxford boys had me at hello! a tenor lead vocal that transforms into four part harmony mixed with a quirky surprising musicality filtered through a funnel of happy. it's enough to make me implode with glee! joy joy joy!]
