lucy rose - end up here
recorded during the sessions of her current album 'something's changing', singer/songwriter lucy rose has offered this brand new song that's just lush! totally acoustic, the sparse song allows us to really enjoy lucy's beautiful vocals that has charmed her fans worldwide. what a joy to get this tune today!

want more? check out a live recording of album track 'moirai' that has been playing on repeat since this summer (easily one of my fave songs of the year!)

NEW LUCY ROSE!: lucy rose - lines

lucy rose - lines
with the debut album 'like i used to' set for release in september, singer/songwriter lucy rose offers up what starts as a gentle folk song and turns into a full fledged band affair with hints of funk thrown in. it's pretty darn wonderful and continues to showcase one of the best new acts of the year!

LIVE WONGIE: bombay bicycle club feat lucy rose - video games (lana del rey cover) / lights out words gone (live @ bbc radio 1 live lounge)

bombay bicycle club feat lucy rose - video games (lana del rey cover)
[we sure love our bombay bicycle club! after introducing their haunting ballad 'still' a few days back, the BBC return with collaborator lucy rose to cover the continuing popularity of lana del rey's cult hit. creating more urgency during the chorus, this is a nice translation to a pretty much perfect song.]

[just love this song! so happy that they brought lucy out for this wonderful performance]

WONGIE DISCOVERY: lucy rose - scar / don't you worry / middle of the bed / scar (live @ location music tv)

with her single 'scar' just added on to bbc radio 6 playlist, lucy rose is on the verge of something over in the UK. this 20 year old singer/songwriter not only has the love of influential UK music tastemakers like bbc radio 1 dj edith bowman, but opened for mumford and sons AND sang alongside andy burrows of razorfish and bombay bicycle club on their tracks (flaws and i swear on their current single lights out words gone). what is the most compelling thing about lucy is her captivating stillness when approaching her songs. check out these wonderful examples below!

WONGIE INDIE SONG(S) OF THE WEEK: bombay bicycle club - ivy & gold / flaws (feat lucy rose) (live @ watchlistentell)

bombay bicycle club - ivy & gold
[the 1st infectious single off of bombay bicycle club's new album 'flaws'. the boys have definitely come into their own with this new release which only supports why nme called them the best new band of last year.]

bombay bicycle club feat lucy rose - flaws (live @ watchlistentell)
[i LOVE the ambient nature of these watchlistentell sessions. lead track off their upcoming album, i can't wait to hear more!]
