[one of the few acts to have actually launched a successful music career via reality tv (the now defunct fame academy), lemar's retro smokey voice has always been an interesting combination within the urban landscape of pop today. luckily in the uk, his unique style has become an asset separating him from all the US emulating wannabes and allowing him three relatively successful albums to date.

taken from his latest album the truth about love, "tick tock" is by far my favorite track with it's old school chorus and sweet doo wop harmonies. unfortunately the released version is a remixed one which i think just takes away from the 'golly gee' sentiments of the original. shame.]
