fiona apple - hot knife
you just can't look away from this simple, yet totally compelling, performance by fiona (with a nice appearance with her sister maude maggart). chalk that up to director paul thomas anderson (there will be blood, the master) who knows a thing or two about visual rhythms and editing. just awesome!
