petit biscuit (aka mehdi benjelloun) has not only come up in the past two years as a wonderful dance producer, but also released some gorgeous tracks that made it to our best songs of 2017 list. finally releasing a video for his collaboration with fellow dance producer lido (he got him to sing vocals!), this 18 year old talent is bound for bigger things in the coming year. LOVE this song!

easily one of my fave male vocalist of the past few years, irish singer/songwriter gavin james just brings it in every time with his smooth falsetto. what's also interesting is that every remix of his guitar based tracks work to the point of enhancing from the original. this one from danny avila is no exception, just press play, sit back and kind of swoon away. happy weekend folks!

after blowing away pharrell williams at a music nyu masterclass (to which the video went viral), singer songwriter maggie rogers releases her meditative dancey folky spacey number to the masses and got herself immediately into the apple itunes charts and spotify fresh music list. it's amazing how we can all discover music these days!

[UPDATED: now with the hype williams directed video, the song has definitely grown on me more since it's debut a week and a half ago] it's the return of adam lambert in the form of a strong dance pop number produced by max martin / shellback that is destined to be a hit. my only issue with the song is their need to add that dub bass which i find unnecessary since the song could do with some subtler cooler groove. this probably means the remixes are right around the corner, but for now this sets up what could be a big big year for adam!
