WONGIE INDIE SONG OF THE WEEK: foals - bad habit

foals - bad habit
what a great song! the song just keeps on adding new layers throughout making it both complex and beautiful at the same time. though the buzz around their album 'holy fire' has been exceptional, i have to admit this is the first song that's made an impact to me from their long player.

WONGIE VIDEO OF THE MONTH: foals - blue blood

foals - blue blood
[director chris sweeney has practically shot the highpoint of a fictitious movie in which all is revealed during this performance. it's pure brilliance and the kid is AMAZING!]

NEW FOALS!: foals - miami

[oh it's a showdown between the steroid chicks and the trannys! i'm not sure which team i want to win!]

[gosh i love this song!]

REEEMIX: foals - this orient (g.e.r.m. remix)

foals - this orient (g.e.r.m. remix)
[wow, what a gorgeously epic remix! beginning all spatial and dreamy, the tune spins into a electro disko jam, never once leaving the essence of the original song behind. brilliant!]

NEW FOALS!: foals - this orient

foals - this orient
[didn't they just release a video for the song 'spanish sahara' a few weeks back? looks like 'this orient' is actually the official single for the band's album 'total life forever', which based on these two tracks alone, is sounding like it's going to be wonderful!]

like the video? check out the making of below:

foals - red socks pugie (henrik schwarz remix) [link 2]
[back in the beginning of the year, the foals were high on everybody's list of bands to watch in 2008. though i was curious, i found myself not as inspired by their whiney vocals and art rock sounds. i haven't written them off just yet, maybe it's because this hot retro henrik schwarz remix is just plain fabulous. thank goodness for remixes!!!]
