madonna feat taylor swift - ghosttown (live @ iheartradio music awards)
madonna performed one of my fave songs from her 'rebel heart' album last night on the mehHeartRadio show with a very tall t-swift on guitar. apparently taylor couldn't stop crying after the performance cause she was so happy to be a part of it. how awesomely fangirl of her!
OMG lead vocalist brittany howard is a monster! ripping through these songs like her life depends on it, all the while showcasing skills that expresses vulnerability and desperation sometimes in the same sentence. if you've never seen this incredible band perform live, you now have a front row taste. with the new album 'sound & color' out next month, this is one spring release that we're very excited to get to know better!

lady gaga - the sound of music tribute (live @ the oscars)
what a performance! i've never heard lady gaga sing with her head voice and now i know it's pretty darn incredible. between the jazz album and now this wonderful tribute to the sound of music, i am back in love with gaga these days!
beyonce, ed sheeran & gary clark jr - stevie wonder all star grammy tribute
live from the wonderful grammy's special, 'the songs in the key of life - an all star stevie wonder tribute', queen bey reminded everyone that she is truly one of the best live acts around as she led a medley of songs which included "fingertips", "master blaster" and "higher ground" with ed sheeran and the crazy talented gary clark jr.

miley cyrus - 50 ways to leave your lover (paul simon cover) (live @ snl 40)
celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic saturday night live show, miley was invited to perform a rousing cover of 4 time host/performer paul simon and BOY did she deliver! definitely one of the surprise highlights of an incredible evening.
already creating quite a buzz with the indie set over in australia, this sydney three piece recently found themselves talked about over on our side of the pond when the gorgeous 'hold me down' reached #1 on the influential hype machine chart. signed to chvrches label 'goodbye records' in the UK, you'll be hearing ALOT more from these boys in the coming months. first up though, check out these two AMAZING performances they did recently on triple j's like a version show and you'll understand why they are on my radar!
mansionair - hold me down (live @ triple j like a version)
want more? listen to mansionair's cover of the beautiful future islands song 'seasons' below! le sigh!
mansionair - seasons (waiting on you) (future islands cover) (live @ triple j like a version)
jessie ware - jealous (labrinth cover) (live @ bbc live lounge)
hot damn! the ever brilliant jessie ware does an excellent cover of labrinth's current ballad (which truth be told, has never left much of an impression... until now!) and even mashes it up with a verse from chaka khan's "through the fire". not much more to say than just press play and enjoy this wonderful wonderful cover.
sia - elastic heart (live @ the ellen show)
another day another sia posting! the elusive pop singer/songwriter went on ellen to perform her current single 'elastic heart' (with maddie ziegler front and center plus a crew of the cutest singing heads!) we heart the song so really, enjoy it again!
sia once again brings her version of performance art/pop into the mainstream as she flawlessly performed her two hits from her current grammy award nominated album '1000 forms of fear' on snl over the weekend. bringing along a mime (bradley leconey) who sign languages 'chandelier' and once again using her dance muse maddie ziegler (and adult doppelgänger denna thomsen) for 'elastic heart'. honestly, it's all sorts of amazing so press play!
