um... what is going on here? after the very meh 'filthy' THIS is the follow up track that's supposed to wow us into euphoria? where is the countrified man of the earth music that comes with his heavily stylised album teaser? i'm going to go with nope on this one. (though dave meyers sure knows how to make a meh song LOOK great!)

jeez... all the stuff that the press release will no doubt champion (she showcases her vocal range! did you hear that last note! mariah's back with her signature style! the production is massive!) is literally the stuff that bugs me about her these days. it took 5 people to "craft" this song and in the end it's just bad rhymes, overproduced music, shrill trills and references to things i could care less about. just sing a song with no frills already... THAT'S the mariah we want back!

wtf is this song? it's like a little mix track bashed together with a jlo one and the end result is not a good experience at all (when 2 chainz verse sounds better than the song, you know you're in trouble). why jessie j feels she needs to chase these sounds when her strong soulful vocals is enough to showcase her talents is beyond me. positive is that the woman looks pretty darn great these days!

there's something so desperate here with this horribly un-sexy piece of meh. starting with the cheap (and tacky) visuals by director hype williams to the post stripper over gyration of jlo and the blandness of iggy azalea's contribution (oh did i mention diplo produced the track?). everything seems calculated for maximum effect (9 million views and counting) but nothing seems genuine in the process. like i said, desperate.

there's something so off about all of this. the song is catchy, but seriously lyrically underwhelming (and borderline retarded). the video is well shot, but miley and her friends give trash a new name (begins with M ends in Y). and what is up with m-dog's fascination with her own a$$? OH and who sings and chews gum at the same time with their mouth open? all wrong... oh so wrong.

i don't get this song... it's repetitive in a sadly annoying way and is kind of off from the usual gems that team saturdays find for our girls. if this was chosen to break the US, i'm not sure it works at all! on to the next one please!

[i have never hidden my love for UK girl group 'girls aloud' and have happily followed cheryl cole in her pursuit of being a solo act. so when i heard that nadine was going to make her solo way (and the fact that she probably had the best voice of the group), i was hopeful that this was going to be interesting. instead we get this... bland, hair flinging mediocrity that should never be a 1st single. here's hoping single number 2 has some element of creativity that at least cheryl has the courtesy of attempting.]
