AUDIO PREMIERE!: jessie ware feat romy madley croft - share it all

jessie ware feat romy madley croft - share it all
featured as an album track off of jessie's upcoming deluxe version of 'tough love', this collaboration with the xx's romy madley croft is a gentle soft spoken love jam produced perfectly by julio bashmore. it's silky sensual and all sorts of perfect! damn this album is looking to be very very good!

INDIE DANCE BITCH DANCE: the xx - sunset (jamie xx edit)

the xx - sunset (jamie xx edit)
why the WHOLE xx album didn't try to beef up their sound is beyond me (jamie xx is a member of the band for gosh sake!) this is a very nice version with a kooky french tv video to boot. remix the whole album jamie xx!!!

WEEKEND PICKS: the xx - fiction

the xx - fiction
my fave song from what turned out to be an underwhelming album by the xx, but months later, this track is still a beautiful reminder of how great this band can be when they get all the ingredients alined.

WONGIE SONG OF THE WEEK: bastille - pompeii / locked out of heaven (bruno mars bbc radio 1 live lounge cover)

bastille - pompeii
we already waxed poetic love for this song a few weeks back and here is the official video just for you to curiously ponder over (while you sing along to the wondrous vocal 'eh oh' hook!)

want more? check out bastille on radio 1's awesome live lounge covering bruno mars (with a few more tracks mashed in the mix!). can't wait to see these guys live!!

INDIE CATCH UP: the xx - chained

the xx - chained
i have to be very honest, every song on the current xx album feels like it's building up to something, but they NEVER go there. in then end it just gets so frustrating that even if the song is awesome, i still feel like i'm missing something. case in point... argh!!!!

AWESOME CONCERT: the xx & the BBC philharmonic orchestra

the xx & the BBC philharmonic orchestra
performed last week at the bridlington spa, the music of xx gets a massive symphonic enhancement with the bbc philharmonic. epic!

the xx - open eyes (demo)
[as the xx are still in the studio working on their long anticipated follow up, they offered their fans a bit of an xmas gift with a brand spanking new demo giving us just a peek into the direction of their new album. it's haunting and gorgeous and i can't wait to hear more in the coming months!!]

WONGIE REMIX OF THE WEEK / LIVE WONGIE: adele - rolling in the deep (jamie xx shuffle) / (live @ largo)

adele - rolling in the deep (jamie xx shuffle)
[aw yeah, the 1st wonderful remix of the year falls upon my beloved adele tweaked by the equally favored jamie from the xx! it's a quirky funked up stomp and just the way 2011 should be!]

adele - rolling in the deep (live @ largo)
[while i'm at it, check out this lovely performance of adele at LA's largo performance space. as usual, amazing!]

REEEMIX: florence and the machine - you got the love (xx remix)

florence and the machine - you got the love (xx remix)
[this remix has been a favorite on so many blogs for the past month that i figured i'd add myself to the adoration with a proper video attached to it. a surprisingly upbeat xx give florence some serious twisted lofi disco grooves making it one of the highlight club tracks of the month. like what you hear? then go over to the great folks at rcrd lbl cause they have it as a free mp3!]
