JUST AWESOME: radiohead - spectre
radiohead - spectre
yet another epic xmas gift for music fans! radiohead decided to offer up their rejected james bond single for free on xmas day! epic yet totally internal, i understand why the 007 folks opted for sam smith's horrible bombastic version instead. but what a lovely tune to get lost in! 007's loss is our gain. happy xmas!!

VIDEO PREMIERE: sam smith - writing's on the wall (james bond 007 spectre theme song)
sam smith - writing's on the wall (james bond 007 spectre theme song)
just a few weeks shy of it's highly anticipated release, sam smith offers up his theme song (co-produced by jimmy napes and disclosure) for james bond spectre. instantly #1 in the UK charts, this is a surprisingly subtle (even with those strings) single for 007's long standing tradition of drama theme songs. can't wait to see the film!!!

AUDIO PREMIERE!: adele - skyfall
adele takes a crack at the bond theme song and comes up with a highly overproduced decent number that ranks right in the middle of the best theme songs of bond history. shame cause adele has the ability to take it over the top but instead went the safe route.

alicia keys & jack white - another way to die (video premiere)
alicia keys & jack white - another way to die [link 2]
[i've had this track in my inbox for a week and my gut feeling about this theme song for the upcoming 007 movie, is that it's all over the place (and not in the good way). it's trying to be funked up, but it just sounds weirdly messy and soul less. which is a shame since i'm a huge fan of both artists. is this theme song indicative of what to expect from the upcoming 007: quantum of solace movie? i hope not!]
