WONGIE POP SONG OF THE WEEK: kylie minogue feat gente de zona - stop me from falling

kylie minogue feat gente de zona - stop me from falling
oh the total joy of this kylie minogue remix! shot lovingly in cuba by director sophie muller, the pop diva has managed to merge her current jaunt of country sounds with the reggaeton vocals of gente de zona to create one of the happiest things you'll see this weekend! what a perfect upgrade from the original track!

WONGIE POP SONG OF THE WEEK: kylie minogue - dancing

kylie minogue - dancing
[UPDATED with video!] it's the return of kylie!!!!!! the new easy on the ears pop jam gives us a world where kylie channels dolly parton if she were a country pop star today. co-written by amy wadge (ed sheeran) & sky adams (barns courtney) this number kicks off kylie's new album 'golden' which promises tracks that's on par with us celebrating 30 years of her in the business. this is a GREAT start!

VIDEO PREMIERE: giorgio moroder feat kylie minogue - right here, right now

giorgio moroder feat kylie minogue - right here, right now
with a guest list of sia, britney spears, charli xcx, foxes, matthew koma and mikky ekko (plus more), producing legend giorgio moroder is gearing up with his first new album in 30 years with this bubbly disco pop track fronted by kylie. it's a fun track that you'll be bopping and singing along to instantly! it's a nice teaser for what's to come! i cannot wait!!!

WEEKEND CATCH UP: kylie minogue - i was gonna cancel

kylie minogue - i was gonna cancel
recorded with pharrell during a two day session, this is a nice little funk disco ditty that perfectly fits kylie's vocals. pretty fun this!

(NAUGHTY) VIDEO PREMIERE!: kylie minogue - sexercize

kylie minogue - sexercize
um... i'm not usually a prude, but am i the only person a tad uncomfortable watching this video? i'll never look at an exercise ball the same way again.

WONGIE SONG OF THE WEEK: kylie minogue - into the blue (video premiere)

kylie minogue - into the blue
definitely my happy pop number of the moment. with flowy hands up in the air, this is just lush!

AUDIO PREMIERE: kylie minogue - into the blue

kylie minogue - into the blue
[UPDATE: check out the lyric video starring our lovely kylie and her handwriting!]
written by the buzzy kelly sheehan (beyonce "grown woman"/ rita ora "how we do") this lush pop number marks a nice return for our kylie. currently judging both the voice UK and australia, the pop diva will have loads of material to perform live in the coming months! i can't wait to see this video!

FRIDAY PICKS: kylie minogue - skirt (lyric video)

kylie minogue - skirt (lyric video)
basically just a groove, kylie seems to be embracing some new sounds for her upcoming album. hopefully the other tracks will have more oomph to them...and then the skirt came off.

POP CATCH UP: kylie minogue - flower

kylie minogue - flower
re-recorded for her upcoming 'the abbey road sessions' album, it's nice to hear a ballad from our pixie goddess every now and then.

WONGIE POP SONG OF THE WEEK: kylie minogue - timebomb

kylie minogue - timebomb
[even though the video is highly overdirected by christian larson (with some killer pov shots and an bad ass motorbike sequence), at the core of this is a really solid pop dance number that is NOT produced by calvin harris! so cool points alone for that choice. in celebration of 25 years in the bizness, this kind of celebration is why kylie has managed to be loved for so long!]

LIVE WONGIE: kylie minogue feat ps 22 - put your hands up / can't get you out of my mind

kylie feat ps22 - put your hands up
[once again, ps22 hooks up it's choir with another superstar for a collaboration workshop. ms kylie comes over and sings two songs with the kids and she's a fan!! check out her 2 performances with the kids now!]

kylie feat ps22 - can't get you out of my head
[i have to say that kylie's voice sounds really pretty in this rendition. and she teaches the kids how to snap!]

TV SPECIAL: BBC Children In Need performances (Cheryl Cole, Take That, JLS, Westlife, Alexandria Burke, Pixie Lott, Kylie Minogue, The Saturdays, Susan Boyle)

every year, the BBC organizes the Children in Need telethon featuring performances by all the pop favorites of the moment in the name of charity. donating almost 40 million pounds last year to childrens charities throughout the UK, the show pulled out all stops to try to top that number this year. we've collected most of the musical performances below, but check out the full schedule of the days events here.

cheryl cole - promise this
[SO much better than the X-Factor performance, plus her voice is on the ball. nice one Cheryl!]

take that - the flood / never forget
[oh my gosh, they did never forget together for the 1st time! OMG! OMG!]

JLS - love you more (children in need official single)
[this is definitely a contender of pop ballad of the year! throw in the fact that JLS have turned themselves into one of the biggest boy bands in the UK in just 2 short years really makes me dig them more and more.]

westlife - safe
[oh this song is so cheesy but i can't help but loving it!]

alexandra burke - start without you
[i actually really like this song, but i can't help feeling that this is the kind of 'caribbean' infused music that middle aged ladies boogie to feel down wit the 'ethnic'. personal issues, ignore me and watch alexandra entertain as always!]

pixie lott - turn it up
[not my favorite song of hers, but it's for charity!]

kylie minogue - better than today
[yeah... still a meh song]

the saturdays - higher
[bless... if there is one place that the saturdays are more mismatched as performers its probably during half time of a soccer game. oh well... its all for charity]

susan boyle - perfect day
[and what better way to end this random pop collection with good ol susan boyle. as usual her voice is impeccable. go forth and donate will ya?]

NEW KYLIE!: kylie minogue - better than today

kylie minogue - better than today
[not her best musical moment, but we love kylie in any way, shape or form, so there!]

NEW VIDEO!: taio cruz feat kylie minogue - higher

taio cruz feat kylie minogue - higher
[i probably wouldn't have given this song too much notice were it not for kylie's involvement. as usual kylie looks AMAZING and the song is just your standard catchy dance pop song that is overwhelming the charts these days. oh did i mention kylie is in this vid?]

LIVE WONGIE: kylie minogue - get out of my way (live @ paul o'grady show)

kylie minogue - get out of my way (live @ paul o'grady show)
[i'm sorry, but this song just makes me so happy! happy weekend all!]

NEW KYLIE!: kylie minogue - get outta my way

kylie - get outta my way
[directed by alexandliane, kylie, as usual, looks FABULOUS! throw in the fierce claw gold rings and an interactive digital lighting setup that i would kill for and you have a happy gay ol thursday!]
