it was a sexy slinky jam back in february and it still plays as one of the best soul songs of the year. tell me you're not making stank face neck twirls when you're listening to this song. SO good!!!

it's been awhile since we heard from erik hassle and much has to do with the fact that the swedish soul singer took 2 years off to regroup and find himself. so when he decided to get back into the game, erik packed off to LA and came up with his currently amazing EP of nu-soul mixed with an eclectic modern sound. here are two tracks off his excellent EP 'somebody's party'... and it's GOOD!

co-written by sohn and nick ruth (mikky ekko), the swedish singer/songwriter is gearing for some serious attention this season. teasing his upcoming EP 'somebody's party', this is a nice soulful number that'll get you bopping for the rest of the day.

i've always had a soft spot for this swedish singer/songwriter with his penchant for darker emotions in a pop arena. now based out of LA, i'm glad to see that the sun hasn't meddled with his style as his new work is just as internal as his previous work (if not more so). nice one this!

[figured today would be a great day to revisit the swedish act erik hassle. the 20 year old boy has been on my blip since late july and it looks like he's really getting the big push in the UK these days. it's all deserving cause he's definitely one of the more exciting acts to come out this year.]
