ryn weaver - octahate
hot damn is this song a massive indie pop hit (well it is written by charli xcx, benny blanco, cashmere cat and passion pit's michael angelakos). a definite buzzy track during the late summer, the song now gets a proper video release for the masses and i guarantee that it'll be a big smash. the year of the indie pop gal continues with this on our radar gem.

WONGIE POP SONG OF THE WEEK: charli xcx - break the rules

charli xcx - break the rules
[UPDATE: video premiere!!] after pretty much ruling the summer with her smash hit 'boom clap', charli sets up her upcoming new album 'sucker' with yet another insta catchy smart dance pop number that you'll be bopping around to. definitely on a roll, i'm uber happy that the past few months have made this talented songwriter into a worldwide star.

iggy azalea feat charli xcx - fancy
aw yeah!! single #4 from iggy is not only a fun jam but pulls in the underrated charli xcx (who sure can write a pop hook) for some of the action. throw in the fact that the video is inspired by 'clueless' and we are in happy camper land!

THIS WEEKS MIX: charli xcx - superlove

charli xcx - superlove
it's a real shame that songwriter/pop gal charlotte (aka charli xcx) hasn't found her crossover hit (icona pop's 'i love it' doesn't count) cause she has a plethora of pop friendly gems up her hipster sleeve. give this track a chance, cause it's pretty darn good!

LIVE PERFORMANCE: robin thicke - i love it (icona pop cover) (live @ bbc live lounge)

robin thicke - i love it (icona pop cover) (live @ bbc live lounge)
turning the lyrics around, it's now a sexy r&b middle age crisis theme song! who knew?
