dizzee rascal feat teddy sky - love this town
turning the hooligan image upside down and well... press play and this video will bring a smile to your face. good one dizzee!
dizzee rascal - i don't need a reason
we jammed to this last month and now the twerk jam gets a genius video directed by emili sornin! i don't wanna spoil anything, but it's just pretty darn mind f**kingly awesome!
dizzee rascal - i don't need a reason
now we're talking! dizzee finally stops chasing the crossover hit and releases this twerk inducing jam! i'm hooked!!
jessie j feat big sean and dizzee rascal - wild
FINALLY some new material from our gal jessie j! it's hella catchy and offers up a nice musical re-introduction to the voice UK judge.
dizzee rascal feat robbie williams - goin' crazy
i love how robbie doesn't even pretend to mouth the words anymore to music videos! a surprising collaboration between dizzee and rascal might actually turn into the fun song of the summer.
dizzee rascal - bassline junkie
oh my god, there is something so endearingly stoopid about the song that it's destined to be a massive smash. throw in the fact that the video is really funny (his hypeman alone makes you wanna giggle) and you've got the ingredients for a viral hit. as big as bonkers? we shall see...
shakira feat dizzee rascal - loca
[now THIS is the kind of shakira that we love to celebrate, cheeky with side of wonderful musicality thrown in. plus my boy dizzee crosses the pond and enters the international arena with his appearance. a brilliant piece of pop if you ask me!]
dizzee rascal - dirtee cash (sub focus remix) [oh this is sick!!! dizzee gets a total makeover thanks to breakbeaters sub focus and the results remind of classic prodigy back in the mid 90's (and that's a good thing!) sick!!!]
dizzee rascal - dirtee cash [the stevie v original is one of my all time favorite club songs of the late 80's so the fact that dizzee sampled it is just brilliant! so happy this is his latest single]
the bpa feat david bryne and dizzee rascal - toe jam (stanton warriors mix) [link 2] [musician/dj norman cook (aka fatboy slim) returns under the new alias of the brighton port authority. as usual norman isn't letting on too much about the collaborative project, but what we do know is that besides the artists featured above, ashley beedle, iggy pop, jack penate and martha wainwright are all rumored to be in on the project. can't wait to listen to this album! BTW, i'm totally digging this stanton warriors remixed version of toe jam which heavily features dizzee's awesome rapping over a hot groove.]
dizzee rascal feat calvin harris & chrome - dance wiv me [link 2] [besides wiley, have you heard this summers UK garage infused 80's disco rap anthem? rappa dizzee rascal gathers together the talents of calvin harris (who always seems better when working for other people) and singer chrome and has made a fun jam that is full of surprises. i've been listening to this non-stop and from the looks of the buzz coming out of the UK, i'm not the only one. hot! hot! hot!]
dizzee rascal - old skool [link 2] [those of you who already have the album maths and english will know that the original version is not called 'old skool' but really 'pussy'ole'. since it's an official single, the title and hook has been changed. since i'm a naughty bugger, you guys get the r-rated version!]
blood red shoes - it's getting boring by the sea [link 2] [for a two piece, these guys make a crapload of yummy noise! made up of friends steven ansell (vocals and drums) and laura-mary carter (vocals and guitar), blood red shoes is named after an incident in which ginger rogers danced so hard while filming a scene that her white shoes became blood red ones. drama! hopefully these two won't play so hard that blood will be sprayed everywhere...that would be gross. oh, and the song is HOT!]
lethal bizzle - bizzle bizzle [link 2] [i have to be honest, to me, lethal bizzle doesn't have the same cache as dizzee rascal. maybe cause dizzee comes across as a rapper with heavy alt leanings or the fact that they hyped him massively over the other uk mc's. but the end result is that i feel like everyone else is playing a bit of catch up. east london rapper lethal bizzle is doing the best job at the moment. this song is catchy, raw and naughty, my three fave reasons to enjoy music!]
tiny dancers - ashes and diamonds [link 2] [so soon after my discovery of this band (like two days ago!), comes their follow up single that is a bit more mainstreamed rock ballad. i'm kind of 'eh' over this, but maybe it's because their previous song was so fun. speaking of which, the album free school milk is lovely! thanks to ifmv for the tip!]
dizzee rascal - sirens [killer! politiks, big beats, rock out guitars and or course sirens! what else would you expect from one of UK's finest? play this one loud!]
m.i.a. - boyz (radio rip) [thanks to chris picks for the tip. basically, bbc dj zane lowe world premiered this song yesterday and this is just the radio rip of the song. amazing!]
lil mama - lip gloss [total change of pace, but still on the hot tip! thanks to discobelle for showing me the ways. this looks like the tween jump rope/club anthem of the summer. you have been warned!]
