it looks like everyone is changing up their sound today! irish band the script have returned after 3 years with a danceable new number that has the spirit of a santana jam with speckles of ed sheeran/one direction throughout. the good news is that danny o'donoghue is still a wonderful songwriter and well... he's come up with an insta catchy number that you'll be singing all summer! nice one!

irish singer songwriter (and wongie favorite) returns with brand new material leading up to his new album 'we move' coming out in the fall. sounding confident and more upbeat, james camped out in toronto to work with the team behind drake and revised his musical approach where his subtle quiver seems to be gone for the time being. basking in the minimal arrangement, there's a joy here that i haven't heard in james' sound before. me likey!!

with an anti-homophobia video that's gone viral, irish singer songwriter andrew hozier byrne is definitely making his mark with this haunting spiritual single that bears repeating. just listening to him sing 'amen' over and over again is enough to bring instant goosebumps. amazing.

we fell in love with the song and wonderful video last year, so it's to our utmost joy that almost a year later, the irish lads re-release the song and commissioned an even more lovely sequel directed by stevie russell. this time our hero has a cute dog that goes on a little adventure of their own. it's totally an AWWW video so get ready to fall in love with everyone again. oh and the song still makes me sigh.

well this is a bit of a departure from kodaline's previous rock ballad sound. instead the dublin based quartet seems to have tapped into the soul of their irish roots and come up with a rousing singalong jamboree that'll play perfect live. they're 3 for 3 in my book and only makes me more excited about their debut album in june!

this irish 5 piece have garnered serious buzz from opening for wongie favorite jake bugg the past few months and now headlining their own mini tour (which they will bring stateside in march!) with their 5 part harmonies and easy on the ears songwriting, these guys are definitely a group to keep an eye out for in the coming months!
