rudimental feat foy vance - never let you go
gearing for the release of their new album 'we the generation', rudimental offer up their latest single with singer songwriter foy vance. it's a more lush drum n bass sound but sadly underusing the songwriting skills of it's vocalist (more lyrics please). hopefully the other album collabs with talents like mnek and lianne la havas will be more brilliant. fingers crossed!

nothing too ground breaking here, but it's nice to hear ella doing some cool vocals on this drum n bass lite future pop hit.
rudimental - never let you go
they're back! the rudimental boys seem to be entering into a more mature sound which incorporates their drum n bass beats but really it's about the lush arrangements surrounding the song. to be honest, the song is a bit too 'catch phrase-y' for my taste, but hopefully their other stuff will be great. we shall see!

call it a winning formula, but after the success of their collaboration with paloma faith, sigma have smartly found the talents of another vocalist/singer songwriter, labrinth, and given his sound a solid breakbeat backdrop. pre-destined to be a crossover hit, get ready to be hearing this track ALOT in the coming weeks!

giving his new single 'bloodstream' for his buddies rudimental to do a reworking, ed sheeran's latest track turns into a pretty epic drum n bass jam that just needs to be blasted on LOUD. should we start a new genre called acoustic folk dnb? i'm game! damn is this good!!!
dj fresh feat ella eyre - gravity
yeah having ella's smoky soul over this breakbeat groove is just a smart move. the song is an insta-hit and will get some serious play this winter!
becky hill - caution to the wind
what a subdued interesting debut single for the UK singer/songwriter becky hill. after gaining popularity as a semi finalist in the 1st season of the voice uk, becky found herself as a go to session singer for both wilkinson and oliver heldens (see below) and created massive hits in the process. hence the surprise to hear something so lovely and restrained for becky's first release. i'm definitely curious to see whats in store for this lovely talented ingenue now.

[UPDATED with the new video!] um... this song is HUGE! following their massive success with their drum'n'bass refix of kanye's jam, sigma are back with an original jam featuring the large vocals of wongie fave paloma faith. the collaboration is sick and will give both acts one of the biggest hits of the year!

i swear that a sweet vocal over an old skool drum n bass track is just like catnip for me! taken from dj wilkinson's hit packed album 'lazers not included' (this is single #6!) i can't believe that it's taken me so long to dig this tune, but better late than never!
